We Are Open

Right to Choose allows patients to choose where their referral goes to. This can lead to shorter waiting times.

There are lots of different providers for this service.

We can not recommend a specific provider and you will have to decide yourself where you want your referral to go.

Here is a link for current options: Right to Choose – ADHD UK
They list both options for ADHD and autism and explain if they see children as well.

Please have a careful read and once you have selected a provider please then complete any questionnaires or self referral forms for us to attach to your referral.

We will also send a text link to gather more information about your symptoms to include in your referral.

Please note, we do not accept “shared care prescribing” from private providers. This means that if you choose to use the right to choose service you will need to ensure the provider you pick is able to issue any medication and we as the GP will not take on any prescribing via them. Please see our separate link for more information about this: ADHD referrals – Oldwell Surgery

This only applies for ADHD referrals where medications may be suggested.

Summary:

Step 1 – pick a provider from the following list: Right to Choose – ADHD UK

Step 2 – contact reception and ask for a right to choose referral link, we will then send an email or a text with a questionnaire for you to fill in
